Compatibility Overview

Platforms and Browsers

Requirements common to all platforms and browsers:

  • Audio enabled: computers require soundcard and speakers/headphones
  • Internet connection, with at least 56kbps bandwidth
  • Firewall rules should allow MP3 and Windows Media content
  • Firewalls are required to have port 1755 open
  • Proxy servers must be able to handle Media Streams


The tables below show the additional basic system requirements for Compatibility with our music products for both PCs and Apple Macintosh platforms.


PC

Microsoft Windows 98 or later

Browser
  • Internet Explorer version 7.0 and higher
  • Netscape version 8.0 and higher
  • Firefox version 1.0 and higher
  • Mozilla Suite 1.7.11 and higher

Music Playback
  • Macromedia Flash Player version 7 and higher
  • Microsoft Windows Media Player version 10 and higher

Settings
  • Security settings of MEDIUM and lower
  • ActiveX controls enabled
  • Cookies enabled

Apple Macintosh

Platform

Apple version OSX/OS10 and later

Browser
  • Netscape version 7.2 and higher
  • Safari version 2.0 and higher
  • Mozilla Suite 1.7.11 and higher
  • Firefox 1.0 and higher
  • Internet Explorer (not fully compatible with version 5.0 and higher; users can search and play music, but there are minor interface errors)
